Old VIP's Can Be Used On All SnoPro Model Years Up To 2012

When using an old VIP on a new Arctic Cat SnoPro be aware of the following issues:

  1. SnoPros from all model years have compatible VIP connectors. Plugging in an old VIP to a new sled with not harm either the VIP or the Sled
  2. Early VIP's did not instrument Engine Coolant Temperature, Throttle Position, or the Auxillary signals, therefore when an old VIP is used on a 2012 sled, the VIP Viewer software will not plot this data.
  3. The VIP Viewer Software has a new Toolbar menu item called "Sled Model Year." Click this menu item and select the SnoPro model year that you are plugging the VIP in to.

Below is list of all the VIP revisions and the signals they instrument. To find out the revision number of your VIP, start the VIP Viewer software, plug in your VIP to the computer's USB port, and select "Help > About The VIP" from the Toolbar menu.
