Engine RPM Sensor

The Engine RPM Sensor operates by detecting the current flowing in the spark plug wire. This sensor works with ignition systems where the high voltage coil is external to the spark plug cap. The sensor also works with ignition systems where the high voltage coil is located inside the spark plug cap. Installing this sensor involves placing the magnetic donut around the spark plug wire and closing it until an audible "click" is heard. Rear Wheel Speed Sensor

The Rear Wheel Speed Sensor detects speed by counting the elapsed time between adjacent holes in the rear brake rotor. This sensor is made up of a rare-earth magnet coupled to a hall-effect device which detects the passing of a ferrous (magnetic) object. Therefore, in order for this sensor to work correctly, the brake rotor must contain ferrous material and the brake rotor holes used for speed detection must be equally spaced all around the rotor. Coolant Temperature Sensor

The Coolant Temperature Sensor measures temperature by being placed in the coolant fluid flow. During testing, we placed the sensor in the line exiting the head and flowing into the top of the radiator. This measures the coolant at its highest temperature just as it leaves the engine. The Temperature Sensor is accurate to within +/- 1 degree centigrade. Please download and read the sensor installation document before purchasing this item.

Y-Cable
